Urban Shade and Cooling Corridors
Partner with neighborhoods to map hot streets and plant suitable shade trees where they can thrive. The planned work will include resident consultation, planting, watering support, and follow-up care to improve comfort and urban biodiversity.
The work is shaped around local environmental priorities and community participation. Activities are planned with local partners, use approaches suited to the site, and include ongoing care so benefits can continue beyond a single activity. Volunteers contribute through practical tasks, learning, and collaboration with residents.
