Riverbank Tree and Habitat Recovery

River communities
Restore vegetation along riverbanks with native trees and shrubs. Healthy river edges can reduce erosion, filter runoff, provide wildlife habitat, and help communities care for freshwater environments.

The work is shaped around local environmental priorities and community participation. Activities are planned with local partners, use approaches suited to the site, and include ongoing care so benefits can continue beyond a single activity. Volunteers contribute through practical tasks, learning, and collaboration with residents.
